250-500 mg every 8 hours. Max 4 g/day.

Dose similar to adults, but adjust for renal impairment.
Renal_impairment
Initial dose as normal, then adjust frequency based on creatinine clearance (e.g., reduce dose or increase interval).
How to Take
Administer orally with or without food. Complete the full course of treatment.
Mechanism of Action

- Hypersensitivity to cefaclor, other cephalosporins, or penicillins
- Severe renal impairment without dose adjustment
Drug Interactions
probenecid
Increases and prolongs cefaclor serum levels by inhibiting renal tubular secretion.
aminoglycosides
Concurrent use may increase nephrotoxicity, monitor renal function.
oral_anticoagulants
May potentiate the effects of warfarin and other oral anticoagulants, requiring monitoring of INR.
live_typhoid_vaccine
May reduce the therapeutic effect of the vaccine.
Storage
Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
