Denixil 0.025 mg Tablet is a novel antihypertensive agent used to treat essential hypertension.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initial dose: 0.025 mg once daily. May be titrated up to a maximum of 0.05 mg once daily after 2-4 weeks based on blood pressure response.
Elderly
Start with the lowest effective dose (0.025 mg once daily) and titrate carefully.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment needed for mild to moderate renal impairment. Use with caution in severe renal impairment.
How to Take
Take orally with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.
Mechanism of Action
Denixil acts as a direct peripheral vasodilator by modulating specific ion channels in vascular smooth muscle cells, leading to relaxation and decreased systemic vascular resistance.
