Administer orally using the provided dropper, directly into the mouth or mixed with a small amount of liquid. Shake well before use. Can be taken with or without food.

Cefixime acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell lysis and death. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall.

• Hypersensitivity to Cefixime or other cephalosporins
• History of anaphylactic reaction to penicillin

Store in a cool, dry place, below 30°C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children. Reconstituted suspension should be stored in a refrigerator (2-8°C) and discarded after 7 or 14 days (check specific product leaflet).

Gastric lavage may be indicated. No specific antidote. Hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis does not effectively remove Cefixime.

Cefixime is generally considered safe in pregnancy (Category B). Use during lactation should be done with caution, as small amounts may be excreted in breast milk. Consult a physician.
