Dosage

Adults

Not typically used as 125mg suspension for adults. Adult dosage for Cefixime is usually 200-400mg daily.

Elderly

Same as adult dose; dosage adjustment may be needed for renal impairment.

Renal_impairment

Dosage adjustment required. For CrCl 21-60 ml/min, reduce dose by 50%. For CrCl <20 ml/min, reduce dose by 75% or use 100mg once daily.
