Flux 250 mg Capsule contains Flucloxacillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
250-500 mg orally every 6 hours, usually taken 30-60 minutes before food. Max 4g/day.
Elderly
Similar to adult dosage, but caution with renal impairment.

Dose adjustment required for severe renal impairment (e.g., CrCl < 10 mL/min, reduce dose or increase interval).
How to Take
Take on an empty stomach, 30-60 minutes before meals, with a glass of water.
Mechanism of Action
Flucloxacillin is a narrow-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic of the penicillin class. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and bacterial death.
