Dosage
Adults
Schizophrenia: Initial 40 mg once daily, maximum 160 mg/day. Bipolar Depression: Initial 20 mg once daily, maximum 120 mg/day.
Elderly
Use with caution. Dosage adjustment may be necessary in severe renal or hepatic impairment. Starting dose 20 mg, maximum 80 mg/day (schizophrenia) or 60 mg/day (bipolar depression).

Moderate to severe impairment (CrCl < 50 mL/min): Initial 20 mg/day, maximum 80 mg/day for schizophrenia and 60 mg/day for bipolar depression.
How to Take

Mechanism of Action
Lurasidone acts as an antagonist at dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors, and as a partial agonist at serotonin 5-HT1A receptors. It also acts as an antagonist at alpha2C-adrenergic receptors.
