Broncomet

Broncomet syrup should be taken orally. It can be taken with or without food. Use a measuring spoon or cup for accurate dosing.

Salbutamol is a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist that stimulates beta-2 receptors in the lungs, causing relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle and bronchodilation. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that works by increasing the volume and decreasing the viscosity of secretions in the trachea and bronchi, thereby facilitating the removal of mucus by coughing.

• Hypersensitivity to Salbutamol, Guaifenesin, or any component of the formulation.
• Patients with hyperthyroidism (relative contraindication for Salbutamol).

Store in a cool and dry place, below 30°C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.

Symptoms of Salbutamol overdose include tachycardia, tremors, palpitations, hyperglycemia, and hypokalemia. Guaifenesin overdose symptoms are usually mild gastrointestinal upset. Management involves symptomatic and supportive treatment, including cardiac monitoring if necessary.

Pregnancy Category C for Salbutamol. Use only if potential benefit outweighs potential risk to the fetus. It is unknown if Salbutamol or Guaifenesin is excreted in breast milk. Use with caution during lactation and only if clearly needed after consulting a doctor.
