Desloratadine is a non-sedating antihistamine that provides relief from allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itching, and hives. It is effective in treating allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
5 mg (10 ml of 2.5 mg/5 ml syrup) orally once daily.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment required; usual adult dose of 5 mg once daily.
Renal_impairment
For severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL/min), administer 5 mg every other day. Consult physician for dosage adjustment.
How to Take
Administer orally, with or without food. Use the provided measuring device to ensure accurate dosing, especially for children.
Mechanism of Action
