Alclor 500 mg capsule contains Cefaclor, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin and soft tissue infections.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Adults: 250-500 mg every 8 hours. For severe infections, up to 500 mg three times daily. Maximum 4 g/day.
Elderly
Elderly: Usually adult dose, but renal function should be considered. No specific dosage adjustment usually required unless significant renal impairment.
Renal_impairment
Renal impairment: Dosage adjustment may be necessary in severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <10 mL/min). Consult physician.
How to Take
