Bacron 2% w/w Ointment contains Mupirocin, an antibiotic used topically to treat bacterial skin infections like impetigo and folliculitis. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.

Uses & Indications

Treatment of impetigo caused by Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes.

Treatment of secondary infected traumatic skin lesions.

Nasal carriage eradication of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) (using appropriate nasal formulation).

Dosage

Adults

Apply a small amount to the affected area 2-3 times daily for 5-10 days, or as directed by a physician.

Elderly

No specific dosage adjustments required for elderly patients.

How to Take
