Butamirate Citrate is a non-opioid centrally acting antitussive agent used for symptomatic treatment of coughs of various etiologies.

Uses & Indications

Acute cough of any etiology

Pre- and post-operative cough suppression

Pertussis

Dry cough associated with respiratory infections

Dosage

Adults

15-20 mL (18.75-25 mg of Butamirate Citrate) 3-4 times daily, or as directed by physician.

Elderly

Same as adults, with caution and physician's advice.

How to Take

Mechanism of Action
