Claudinil has successfully completed Phase III clinical trials demonstrating efficacy and safety in IBS-D patients. Post-marketing surveillance is ongoing.

Lab Monitoring

• Liver function tests (baseline and periodically, especially with long-term use)
• Renal function tests (for patients with pre-existing renal impairment)

Doctor Notes

• Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications alongside medication for optimal IBS management.
• Monitor for signs of GI obstruction, especially in patients with a history of adhesions or strictures.
• Advise patients to report any severe or persistent adverse effects immediately.

Patient Guidelines

• Take Claudinil as prescribed by your doctor.
• Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
• Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking.

Missed Dose Advice

If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Driving Precautions

Claudinil is not expected to impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you experience dizziness or fatigue, avoid such activities.
