Description
Overview of the medicine
Elorim-139 Cream contains Betamethasone Valerate, a potent corticosteroid used to relieve inflammation and itching associated with various skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area once or twice daily, or as directed by a physician. Rub in gently and completely.
Elderly
No specific dosage adjustment required; use with caution due to potential for thinner skin.
Renal_impairment
No specific dosage adjustment required for topical application.
How to Take
For external use only. Apply a thin film to the affected skin area and rub in gently. Wash hands thoroughly before and after application.
Mechanism of Action
Betamethasone is a glucocorticoid that binds to cytoplasmic receptors, causing transcription of anti-inflammatory proteins and inhibition of pro-inflammatory mediators. It suppresses inflammation by reducing the release of lysosomal enzymes, inhibiting the migration of leukocytes, and reversing increased capillary permeability.
Pharmacokinetics

Within hours of application
Excretion
Primarily renal, if systemically absorbed.
Half life

Primarily hepatic, if systemically absorbed.
