Bilxen 125 mg Oral Solution is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, watery eyes) and urticaria (hives, itchy skin rash).

Uses & Indications

Seasonal allergic rhinitis

Perennial allergic rhinitis

Chronic idiopathic urticaria

Dosage

Adults

125 mg (5 ml) once daily.

Elderly

No dose adjustment typically required, but use with caution in those with reduced renal function.

How to Take

Mechanism of Action

Bilxen is a selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist. It prevents the binding of histamine to H1 receptors, thereby inhibiting the histamine-mediated effects such as vasodilation, increased vascular permeability, and itching.
