Dosage

Adults

The usual adult dose is 200 mg twice daily or 400 mg once daily. Duration depends on the infection type and severity.

Elderly

No specific dose adjustment is required for elderly patients unless there is significant renal impairment.

Renal_impairment

Dose adjustment is necessary for patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance < 60 mL/min). Consult a doctor for specific dosage.
