Uses & Indications

Symptomatic treatment of psycho-organic syndrome (e.g., cognitive decline, memory problems, lack of attention).

Cortical myoclonus.

Vertigo and associated balance disorders (excluding vasomotorial or psychic origins).

Adjunctive treatment in dyslexia in children and adolescents.

Dosage

Adults

Initial dose: 2.4 g daily in 2-3 divided doses, gradually increased up to 4.8 g daily. Maintenance dose: 1.2-2.4 g daily.

Elderly

No specific dose adjustment, but renal function should be monitored.

Renal_impairment

Dose adjustment required based on creatinine clearance. For CrCl 50-79 ml/min, 2/3 of usual dose; for CrCl 30-49 ml/min, 1/3 of usual dose; for CrCl <30 ml/min, contraindicated or highly reduced dose.

How to Take
