Overview of the medicine
Fevedol 325 mg Tablet is an analgesic and antipyretic medication used for relief of mild to moderate pain and fever.
Uses & Indications

Adults
One to two 325 mg tablets every 4-6 hours as needed. Maximum 4000 mg (12 tablets) in 24 hours.
Elderly

Renal_impairment

How to Take
Oral administration. Can be taken with or without food. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Mechanism of Action
Paracetamol inhibits prostaglandin synthesis primarily in the central nervous system, leading to its analgesic and antipyretic effects. It has weak anti-inflammatory properties.
Pharmacokinetics
Onset
30-60 minutes for analgesic/antipyretic effect.
Excretion
Mainly renal as glucuronide and sulfate conjugates; less than 5% excreted unchanged.
Half life
1-4 hours, prolonged in liver dysfunction.
Absorption
Readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, peak plasma concentrations occur within 30-60 minutes.
Metabolism
Primarily hepatic, conjugated with glucuronic acid and sulfate. A small amount is metabolized via CYP2E1 to a toxic intermediate, N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine (NAPQI), which is detoxified by glutathione.

Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any component of the formulation
- Severe hepatic impairment
Drug Interactions

Metoclopramide, Domperidone
May increase paracetamol absorption.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, below 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
