Butapan 10 mg Tablet contains Butamirate Citrate, a non-opioid antitussive agent used for the symptomatic treatment of dry coughs of various etiologies. It works by directly affecting the cough center in the brain.

Uses & Indications

Symptomatic treatment of dry cough of any etiology.

Pre- and post-operative cough suppression in surgical procedures.

Cough associated with acute respiratory infections, bronchitis.

Dosage

Adults

10 mg (1 tablet) 2-3 times daily, or as directed by physician.

Elderly

No special dosage adjustment usually required, but caution is advised.

How to Take

Take orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water.

Side Effects

Expectorants

Overdose
