CMC-Luvis 0.5% Eye Drop is an ocular lubricant used to relieve dry eyes. It provides temporary relief from burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) 3-4 times daily, or as needed.
Elderly
Same as adult dosage. No specific dosage adjustment needed for elderly patients.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment needed as systemic absorption is minimal.
How to Take
Tilt head back, pull down lower eyelid to form a pouch, instill drops into the conjunctival sac. Do not touch dropper tip to eye or any surface to avoid contamination. Blink gently to spread the solution.

Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) increases the viscosity of the tear film and provides lubrication, protecting the eye surface from dryness and irritation.
